Ruined Fantasy town WIPs

So this has been my long term 2015 hobby project, nearly finished now, a couple of buildings and bits and pieces to do then onto the painting. Should get it done for christmas!

I'm always open to a bit of (not to much) constructive criticism, so if you've got any ideas for improving them fire away!

Small child added for scale.

I´ll copy your big platform idea :-) I have a similar table for mordheim:

  4. Very nice. Frostgrave has gone down big in our club. Think we now have around 16 players

    1. Seems to be doing really well, although I have a copy of the rules we haven't actually played it yet, we're more about the Mordheim at the moment.

I just started my Frostgrave terrain. Looks like I will be pinching a few of your ideas...

  7. This is extremely nice work!
It appears that some of the stone work is individual blocks of blue foam. That really adds a lot of character to the building. Extremely well done!

    1. I've mixed up individual bricks and larger areas where the brick pattern is just etched on the foam with a Biro, if you can get your hands on some foam with different thickness's you can layer some thiner cut out bricks over etched areas gives a good effect.

  8. You have a couple of buildings on foam "platforms." Are you going to texture the vertical edges of the platforms?

I love the way you detailed the individual blue foam stones. How did you do that?

Thanks for showing this work. It is inspiring.

    1. The foam is textured with a piece of concrete pressed into it, you can also use a screwed up ball of tin foil, just roll it over the foam, gives a nice stone texture.

    2. Oh and the vertical edges will be textured not sure how I'm gonna do it, the blue foam would be expensive I might just try cutting cereal box card into bricks and see how that looks painted.
